Dr. Ron Sweatt
lead Pastor
Ron was called as Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church Alma in June of 2016. Prior to coming here, Ron served as the Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church in Weaver, Alabama.
Ron holds his Master of Divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and has received his Doctorate from Covington Theological Seminary.
Ron is married to Tammy, and they have 5 children.
JUSTIN THOMAS
WORSHIP PASTOR
Serving here since April 2019, Justin was previously Worship Pastor at Trinity Baptist Church in Thomaston, Georgia. Additionally, he brings over 20 years of ministry experience, having served in Virginia, Tennessee, Ohio, and Georgia. Justin holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music from The Florida State University, and a Master of Music in Church Music Degree from Belmont University.
Justin and his wife Kathy were married in 2000 and now have 4 children; Cadence, Coleman, Nash, and Preston.
BRANNON PATE
ASSOCIATE PASTOR OF STUDENTS
Brannon joined us in May of 2022. Brannon and his wife Brittany (both South Georgia natives) came to us from New Orleans, after his time in Seminary there.
Brannon and Brittany married in December, 2020, and recently had their first child, Oliver!
Tracy Manges
Office Administrator / Children
Tracy has served as Office Administrator here at First Baptist Church Alma since 2002. Over the past 20 years Tracy has become an invaluable part of our staff and church!
Tracy is married to Randy, and they have 2 adult sons.
Jessica Alderman
Administrative Assistant
Jessica joined the staff in October of 2018, as a ministry assistant. She has since been able to help the staff and ministry volunteers in numerous capacities in her time here, along with helping oversee nursery operations.
She and her husband, David, have been married since December 2016; and have one son.
