Jesus commanded us to go and tell others about the Good News of Salvation; and we take that Great Commission Seriously.

Some of our ministries take place here on our campus, while others take place in our community, in our state, in our country, and even half-way around the world!

Take a few minutes to check out the different ministries of First Baptist Church Alma.

Our Worship Ministry covers several different areas, including our Adult Celebration Choir, Praise Band, Audio/Visual Ministry Team, KidzPraze Choir,       and our Creative Team.

The Men's Ministry has developed to help meet the needs of those in our church and our community. From yard work to small repairs or from an annual event for the widows in the church to the Father's Day cookout at Twin Oaks Nursing Home, our men are active in loving God & loving people.

The Women's Ministry at First Baptist Church Alma is open to women of all ages and exists to enable women to grow closer to God and with each other.  Women are encouraged to join the quarterly Bible studies, monthly fellowship meal/meetings, small groups, and special events.

Our Children's Ministry includes classes for bed-babies up thru 5th grade.  On Sunday mornings, during the 10:30 AM Service) we offer a Children's Worship time (SonTown & SonCity) for children in K-5th Grade.  We host a summer camp each year and have an active AWANA & KidzPraze Choir.

AWANA is an acronym which stands for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed" and is a Bible-based educational ministry for children from Pre-K - 5th Grade.  Children are encouraged to learn Bible verses and to pass book sections each week. We meet @ 6:00 PM each Wednesday during the school year.

Kid's Praise

Kid's Praise is our children's choir, and is open to kids in K-5th grades.  We meet each Sunday night @ 6:30 PM in the choir room and present two musicals each year.

Our Youth ministry focuses on helping develop our students in grades 6 - 12.               From Youth Worship to Graded Sunday School classes, we want to be able to help students deepen their personal relationship with God and to connect with others.

Young at Heart is our Senior Adult Ministry, but it is open to anyone who wants to join us! We meet for our monthly lunch meetings at 11:30 AM on the 2nd Tuesday of each month.  Come join us!
